WINTER BLAHS

Bring on spring! I am soooooo ready to see some warmer weather. I just don’t tolerate the cold weather like I used to. I guess my age is telling on me.

A lot has been going on since last I wrote. I found that I have a blood condition and have blood-work done regularly to keep it under control. I also had a small stroke that caused me to fall and sprain my ankle and I was not able to walk without crutches for a couple of weeks, and it also affected my right hand, which happens to be my writing and quilting hand, so I haven’t been quilting much. But my hand is better and I am anxious to get back to quilting.

One thing I could do was plan and dream of quilt designs and pour through quilt books and magazines and I have planned several new quilts that I want to do. I have an older version of EQ (EQ4) and would like to get a new version. I take Barbara for chemo weekly and take my laptop with me to “play” on, and I could have fun designing quilts while waiting.

Thanksgiving and Christmas have come and gone and we were blessed to spend time with family and friends on those holidays. Barbara and I worked together and finished a quilt for her son/my grandson for Christmas. I am sorry to say that is the only one that was completed, due to Barbara and me both having health issues, but she is ready to get back to work quilting as much as I am.

I am a member of a couple of Yahoo Bible Study/Quilting groups. They are interesting, plus when you finish the study and the blocks, you have blocks for a quilt. I really enjoy the studies.

I really don’t have a lot to write about this time. I hope that soon I have some things to show and tell about that Barbara and I have finished. Until then, I leave you with:

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. -- Philippians 4:7
