I was at the nursing home for another quilting time and a new gentleman wanted to join our group. Well loving the group and quilting as much as I do, I was very happy to have him join us. When I got out all the supplies for him to do a block, I discovered he only had the use of one hand. So I thought to myself, how do I manage this problem... and God, being the caring God he is, answered my query. I put the stitches onto the needle and he pulled the needle through the material. A little extra effort, but oh, the rewards! He was so proud to do the part that he did. And I felt good for being there to be a part of this. We didn’t move mountains, but maybe I did make a small change in his life that day. You know, God can use each of us if we are open to being His instrument. Ask God to show you ways He can use you for His glory.
I have a funny for you:
One Sunday after church a mom asked her very young daughter what the lesson was about.
The daughter answered, "Don't be scared, you'll get your quilts."
Needless to say, the mom was perplexed. Later in the day, the Pastor stopped by for tea. When the mom asked him what that morning's Sunday school lesson was about, he answered, "Be not afraid, thy comforter is coming."
I hope you have a great day, and I leave you with this thought:
“Remember; faith makes things possible, not easy!”
