February Happenings

Hello again after a long time away from my blogs.
I have not quilted much as Barbara and I were sewing and getting things ready for Christmas gifts. We made huge stuffed pillows and I did machine embroidery on tote bags for her sister and granddaughters.
I also worked on some quilting, but have not finished any yet. I sewed binding onto a quilt that she made for one of her sons and just sewed the binding on another one for another son. So together we have accomplished some things.

I have been working with my group at the nursing home and have three quilt tops ready to quilt. They are doing very well and I am so proud of them for all they have accomplished.
I have photos of some of the ladies from our group:

I have a couple of others that I am working on. One is a top for my husband, and another is a top made partially from ‘Crown Royal’ bags for my son, and another is a hexagon pattern for one of my sisters. I don’t want to put it together like a regular ‘Grandmother’s Flower Garden’ so I found a picture of one set together with diamonds. I am thinking of doing it like that. I can’t remember where I found the picture, but I saved it from the Internet. I will post it and hope I am not breaking any copyright rules.

I don't make mistakes, I make design changes; some work, some don't!
